This is the time of the year we should be hitting the shops to renew our spring wardrobes, however the thought of shedding layers and showing our skin is still a distant dream. I am praying for sunshine, and securing my SS13 wardrobe in my thoughts, so to cheer me up I have been hunting down the best collections to get me in the mood for the arrival of our summer. This seasons key trends are sports luxe, monocrome, prim and proper and tribal. I came across Dunes collection for SS’13 and fell in love with the sandals!

Love love love the colours in this wedge, the vivid yellow against the white and of course the beautiful tan look fab. This shoe fits well with the sports luxe trend and can be dressed up or down with sophisticated tailoring or relaxed shorts.

This Grecian sandal is perfect for a stroll along the beach. Gold and white are perfect for summer sunshine. I would ideally team these with a floaty maxi and sun glasses.

 The plaited straps on these sandals are bang on trend for SS13, I would have liked to see a little bit of colour in these, however they are a great classic summer wardrobe staple.

Gladiator is back and the sexy leopard print adds glamour. Im not a fan of an ankle strap (only because I can’t  pull them off), however if I could these would definitely be in my suitcase!

Following a fantastic year for the Brits as the Olympics, the sports look is back with a sassier chic look for SS’13 and with this seasons key look incorporating athletic cuts, loose sweatshirts and hit top trainers we can all relax our wardrobes. Sports Luxe has been around manier times, however this season we will be sporting looser cottons, neon colours and racer backs but what shoes will compliment this look?

I have prowled the stores to find THE best selection of sport luxe to keep our feet on trend.

At this time of year we should all be preparing for the early spring sunshine by packing away our winter wardrobe and welcoming the brogues, loafers and sandals. Due to the rubbish weather we have to remain in our trillions of layers for a little bit longer! I am bored of my winter wardrobe and am trying to revamp it for the cold spell but do not want to spend too much money, so what are the best options for the transition? My thoughts are, the classic desert boot, a boot which is stylish yet warm and is fit for all seasons (apart from snow!). I have been struggling to find any on the high street but I have managed to find a selection online. My fave brand is of course Clarks who specialise in shoes for men and women, they have a huge range of desert boots in a number of colours as well as a fab range of shoes, sandals and flip flops ready for summer.

Here are my favourite women’s desert boots, I think I will opt for the leather as they will withstand the April showers!!

I came across a fantastic video part of the recent Ikea campaign ‘Make room for your life’. The campaign which primarily aims to target new markets and establish the brand within a young and stylish market has produced a series of videos helping people to transform their lives. I love how Ikea as a fairly standard brand have been able to engage with a number of different consumers in order to solve their issues. This one in particular helps Jess find suitable storage for her huge number of trainers, something I’m sure you all will have experienced!

Looking as fabulous as ever, the award winning actress teamed with a stunning green dress to see in 2013. With Christmas over and done with I thought the next best thing would be to regain my happiness through my love of sales shopping and pick out my favourite shoes form the January sales! There are some fairly good sales on, many of which started the week before Christmas and me being me was glued to my inbox looking out for those sale alerts, however to my disappointment, so far there haven’t been any fantastic bargains, however I am trawling the web daily looking for additional markdowns on my top picks.

Some real bargains here including my fave Nicolas Kirkwood Boots, which I previously blogged about….think now is the time to make that purchase ready for SS’13!

Season to season we see an array of styles coming back around so make way for the return of the pointed stiletto; the classic and sophisticated shoe. Mr Porter have the perfect selection to choose from, so no need to shop around! The colours seem more suitable for spring but if you like to make a statement they would look great on NYE. Something we are seeing more in this seasons collection is more chic perspex, giving you the sexy yet classy look.

Red seems to be the main colour and there are some fab pairs to choose from but my faves would have to be the orange Jimmy Choos!

On my recent visit to London, I just had to drop into Selfridges and have a peak in the shoe galleries. I did of course head directly to the one and only Christian Louboutin Boutique and took a sneaky couple of snaps for my wish list.

If only santa would bring me just one pair for Christmas…?!

I love Ted Baker as a clothing brand, however I have never been keen on their shoe collection, merely just because their heels are never high enough! I was therefore intrigued when I heard that they had released a new collection which specifically focuses on sky high heels just in time for the party season.

Ted Baker has four new styles available in a range of colours, however apart from the ‘Sawp’ I’m still not sure whether these are high enough for me! I am a girl who has to have the perfect heel and the currently only Kurt Geiger and Louboutin successfully achieve this. I am afraid to say, that even though Ted Baker have launched their new sky high collection they are haven’t quite made it to my shoedrobe yet! They do have some great style though, which really only require an extra inch or two I height!

I’m sure a lot of you are in the same boat this Christmas, but my pennies have to stretch a long way this month as well as having to find a killer outfit for new years eve! I have therefore scoured the high street to find some cheaper alternatives. I will select a store each week and choose the best three pairs to complete your NYE outfit. I am looking at high street stores to begin with as they tend to stock a fashionable range without the hefty price tag. My first selection comes from Bank, although they specialise in clothing, I was surprised to see they also have a fab range of womens shoes perfect for the party season!

Leopard print is a key trend and can really make a difference to a plain black dress. These would look great with some gold accessories and a leopard print clutch.   £38 Kitsch Couture  Jels Jewel Heels  Love, love love the jewels at the bottom and the red is really festive. This pair would go well with some thick black tights, a black dress or dress with hints of red. In this case, the shoes would be the statement piece so don’t over do the outfit.
